Heavy metal immobilization and solidification material "STA-M"
No concurrent high alkalinity issues! The reaction between MgO and added inorganic elements exhibits insolubilization and solidification effects.
"STA-M" is an insolubilization and solidification material primarily composed of magnesium oxide (MgO), which is produced by firing magnesite (magnesium carbonate), a natural material, at approximately 800°C. By adding inorganic materials to the main component MgO, it is possible to insolubilize all regulated heavy metals. The material is in the form of a white powder with a particle size of less than 1mm, and it exhibits insolubilization and solidification effects through the reaction between MgO and the added inorganic elements. 【Features】 ■ The pH after treatment is below 10.5 as it does not contain calcium-based materials. ■ It does not cause high alkalinity issues. ■ It has a large specific surface area, making it highly reactive with soil particles and heavy metal ions. ■ Compared to cement-based solidification materials, it has a lower pH and a reduced risk of re-dissolution of heavy metals. ■ The insolubilization effect is sustained over a long period. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
